Yesterday was the much delayed Annual General Meeting of the North Wales Archery Society.
There have been complaints and much disappointment about the lack of communication from the Exec and the total lack of meetings last year. There had been some illness and general lack of understanding of the roles of the exec which contributed to this.
There were no minutes from the last meeting, no actions or matters arising. Many of the officers either weren't present or didn't submit a report, so that kept the meeting short.
No nominations, or volunteering had been submitted, so the current officers were re-elected into their posts.
The AGM cannot actually do much, so the AGM was closed and a EGM was started to sort out the future of the NWAS. Peter Pendrey had previously but in a motion for dissolution, which he withdrew until August, when he would re-submit it if things haven't improved.
Mike Lewis's 3 year plan which emphasised grass roots coaching was discussed and eventually voted on and was accept unanimously. The Exec will meet on the 4th March to discuss how to implement the plan.
Two members of Corus are invited to attend the Exec to vote on any changes and to represent Corus's in NWAS.
The Exec agenda is now published & attached below. |
